How To Make Your Life a Little More Fun

Annalia K Avatar

Here are four steps to live a more fun-filled life: learn something new, try something new, improve your current situation, and enjoy life.

LEARN SOMETHING NEW

Learn how to do a daily task a different way. This can be anything from buttoning your clothes with your non-dominant hand to trying to find the most efficient way to shower.

Discover more hobbies. With so many things to do in this world, your choice of hobbies is endless! You can try a new instrument, paint, run, play Minecraft, garden, take up 3D modeling, and much more.

Be spontaneous, but have general plans so your life is easier to manage. When you want to do something and you get the chance to do it, why not take that chance? As Michael Clifford’s fortune cookie once told him, “When opportunity knocks, open the door.”

TRY SOMETHING NEW

Take a walk somewhere. Exploring new places and getting exercise can boost your mood.

Meet people. Each person has a completely different life. Listening to what others have to say can teach you about many different interests and perspectives. Find and join a group with similar interests, and if you don’t already have one, get a job.

IMPROVE CURRENT SITUATIONS

Grow current interests and current friendships. Treat others, especially good friends, as you want to be treated.

Set aside some free time and do something. Make or find a good list of random things to try. A good place to find this kind of list is Pinterest. First, make a list of things to learn, then try them out in your free time.

Don’t let procrastination stop you. Depending on the type of person you are, you might procrastinate from making your life fun, which really isn’t any fun at all.

Add music. If you’re a person who loves music, you can take the time to create playlists for different things (studying, walking, driving, that one sunset mood, etc.).

ENJOY LIFE

Don’t take life for granted. Our world is filled with fun. Anyone can make their own life amazing.

The world is so full of a number of things

I’m sure we should all be as happy as kings.

–Robert Louis Stevenson
